A VESC is an open, programmable motor controller. It gives you more control over how your scooter delivers its power.
Pushes the motor past its normal speed limit for a higher top speed.
Fine-tune throttle response, braking strength and power delivery.
Each scooter is set up and tested by Sminz before it leaves us.
It's a controller technique that lets the motor spin faster than its base speed, raising top speed at the cost of some torque at the top end.
Top speeds depend on rider weight, battery charge, terrain and setup. Treat them as the maximum achievable under ideal conditions.
Rules differ by country. High-speed setups are generally for private land only. Check your local laws before riding.

Safety first. Sminz scooters are high-performance vehicles. With field weakening enabled they can reach speeds of 66 km/h or 95 km/h. Always wear a helmet and protective gear, and ride only where it is legal and safe.
These terms apply to every purchase from Sminz ("we", "us"). By placing an order or using this website you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't order.
We sell the Kukirin G2, Kukirin G4 and Ausom DT2 Pro fitted with a VESC controller. Prices are shown on the website and may change before you order. Quoted top speeds and peak power figures are achieved under ideal conditions with field weakening enabled. Real-world results depend on rider weight, battery charge, terrain and temperature, so we can't guarantee them.
An order is accepted when we confirm it by email. Payment is due in full at checkout. We may cancel an order and refund you if an item is out of stock or a price was shown in error.
We ship to the address you give at checkout. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Please check the package on arrival and tell us within [7] days if anything is damaged. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved.
You may request a return within [30] days of delivery if the scooter is unused, undamaged and in its original packaging. Scooters that have been ridden, modified or reprogrammed after delivery can't be returned unless faulty. Return shipping costs are [paid by the buyer / paid by Sminz]. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once we receive and inspect the item.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights where those apply.
We cover faults in the VESC setup we install for [3] months from delivery. Manufacturer warranties on the scooter itself are handled under the terms of Kukirin or Ausom. The warranty does not cover crashes, water damage, misuse, wear and tear, or changes made by anyone other than Sminz.
VESC controllers are programmable. Changing power, current or field weakening settings, or fitting other parts, is done at your own risk and may void warranties. Unsafe settings can cause loss of control, overheating or battery fire. If you change the setup, you are responsible for the result.
Riding any electric scooter carries a risk of serious injury or death. By buying from Sminz you accept these risks. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sminz is not liable for injury, loss or damage caused by riding, misuse, modification, or ignoring safety guidance. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the product. Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law doesn't permit exclusion.
We collect the details needed to process and deliver your order (name, address, email, payment information). We don't sell your data. Payment details are handled by our payment provider. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
These terms are governed by the laws of [IRELAND]. Disputes are handled by the courts of [IRELAND], subject to any consumer rights you have to bring a claim where you live.

Sminz ("we", "us") sells VESC-equipped electric scooters. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact details are in section 10.
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services needed to run the store: Shopify (website and checkout), our payment provider, delivery companies, and email or analytics tools. These companies may process your data outside your country, using safeguards the law requires. We may also share data where the law requires it.

We keep order records for 1 year for tax and accounting purposes. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then deleted.
